Rodent Control in NJ: Expert Mouse & Rat Removal
Protect your NJ home from unwanted mice and rats. Resolve Pest Management offers effective, lasting rodent control solutions to keep your property and family safe.
Rodent Control in Ocean, Monmouth & Burlington County, NJ
Mice and rats move indoors looking for food, water and warmth, especially when the weather turns cold. Once inside, they contaminate food, chew wiring and insulation, and breed quickly. Resolve Pest Management is a licensed, family-owned company based in Bayville that removes mice and rats from homes and businesses across Ocean, Monmouth and Burlington County, then seals them out so they stay out.
Signs you have mice or rats
- Droppings in cabinets, drawers, along baseboards or behind appliances (see what mouse droppings look like).
- Scratching or scurrying noises in walls or ceilings, usually at night.
- Gnaw marks on food packaging, wood, wiring or plastic.
- Nests made of shredded paper, fabric or insulation.
- Grease marks and runways along walls, or burrows around the foundation.

Our rodent control process
1. Inspection
We inspect inside and out to find where rodents are active, where they are nesting and, most importantly, how they are getting in: foundation gaps, garage doors, vents, utility and pipe openings, and rooflines.
2. Trapping and baiting
We use trapping and baiting to knock down the active population. Bait is placed in tamper-resistant stations, out of reach of children and pets.
3. Exclusion and sealing
Removing rodents only solves half the problem. We seal the entry points we find so new mice and rats can’t get back in. Exclusion is what turns a quick fix into a lasting result.
4. Exterior bait stations
For ongoing protection, we install and service exterior rodent bait stations around the outside of your home or business to stop rodents before they reach the structure.
Pricing and warranty
One-time rodent service starts at $225 plus tax. The final price depends on the size of the property and how many entry points need sealing; we’ll give you a clear quote after the inspection.
One-time rodent service includes a 60-day retreatment warranty, provided the entry points we identify are sealed within one week after service. If rodents return during that period, we come back and retreat at no extra charge.
Why DIY rodent control often fails
Store-bought traps can catch a few mice, but they don’t stop new ones from coming in. Without finding and sealing entry points, the problem usually returns. Learn more in how mice get into your house and sealing entry points.
How to keep rodents out
- Store food, pet food and birdseed in sealed containers.
- Keep trash in lidded cans and away from the house.
- Trim shrubs and vegetation back from the foundation.
- Fix leaks and remove standing water.
- Keep garage doors closed and replace worn door sweeps.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions about our services
Keep an eye out for tell-tale signs like small droppings, chew marks on food containers or wiring, strange scratching or squeaking noises coming from your walls or attic, or even seeing a mouse or rat scurrying around. If you notice any of these in your NJ home, it's a strong indicator you might have uninvited guests.
Rodents aren't just annoying; they can cause serious issues for your home and health. They chew through electrical wires, potentially causing fire hazards, and damage insulation and pipes. More importantly, they carry diseases and contaminate food surfaces, posing health risks to your family in NJ. Getting rid of them quickly is crucial.
Rodents are incredibly resourceful and can squeeze through very tiny openings – a mouse only needs a gap the size of a dime! They often enter through cracks in foundations, gaps around utility pipes, unsealed vents, open garage doors, or even small holes in the roof. They're always searching for food, water, and shelter in NJ homes, especially as the weather changes.
We start with a thorough inspection to find where rodents are active and how they're getting in. Then we combine trapping and baiting to remove the current population, exclusion and sealing to close entry points, and exterior bait stations for ongoing protection. One-time rodent service starts at $225 plus tax and includes a 60-day retreatment warranty, provided the entry points we identify are sealed within one week after service.
Yes. The safety of your family and pets is a priority on every visit. Bait is placed in tamper-resistant stations, and traps and baits are set in secure, hard-to-reach areas away from children and pets. Our licensed technicians follow product labels and NJ pesticide regulations, and we'll explain what we're using and where.
